This Privacy Policy explains how Merasoftware App (“we”, “our”, “us”) collects, uses, and protects information when you connect your Google account and use our cloud storage features.

1. Information We Collect

• Google Account Email: We request userinfo.email to display which Google account is connected to the app.
• Google Drive Metadata (Read-only): We request drive.metadata.readonly to read non-content metadata such as your storage quota (total, used, remaining) via the Drive “about” API. We do not read file contents.
• Files You Choose to Upload/Manage: With drive.file, we upload and manage only the files you create or select through the app. We do not access other files outside the scope of your actions.
• OAuth Tokens: We store an access token and refresh token to maintain your signed-in session and perform the actions you request. These tokens are stored securely on our server and are not shared with third parties.

2. How We Use the Information

• To show your connected account email in the dashboard for transparency.
• To display your Google Drive storage usage (used, total, remaining) so you understand available space.
• To upload or download files you explicitly choose within the app.
• To authenticate requests and keep your session active using OAuth tokens.

3. Data Storage, Retention, and Security

• Tokens: Tokens are stored server-side (e.g., in a configuration file or secure store) and used only to fulfill your actions within the app. We employ reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect them.
• No Content Storage: We do not store your file contents on our servers. Files are transmitted directly to/from Google Drive as requested.
• Minimal Logs: We may log non-content technical events (e.g., error traces, timestamps) to maintain reliability and security.
• Retention: Tokens are retained while your account remains connected or until you revoke access. If you disconnect or revoke access, we delete stored tokens within a reasonable timeframe.

4. Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell or share your personal information or Google data with third parties, except as required by law or to comply with a valid legal request.

5. Your Choices and Controls

• Disconnect Access: You can revoke the app’s access to your Google account at any time via your Google Account permissions page: myaccount.google.com/permissions.
• Access/Deletion Requests: You may request deletion of stored tokens and related account data by contacting us at muktisoftware@gmail.com. Upon verification, we will process your request within a reasonable time.

6. Compliance with Google API Services User Data Policy

Our use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We access only the minimum scopes necessary and use Google data solely to provide the features described above.

7. Children’s Privacy

Our services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the latest version on this page and update the Effective Date above.
